About the Academy
The Karen Gorman Academy of Speech and Drama, will once again be commencing classes this September in The Radisson Blu hotel, Letterkenny, Kees Hotel, Stranorlar.
Within the academy opportunities are offered for practice in a number of areas, namely, Relaxation, Drama Games, Expressive and Dramatic Movement, voice and speech work, Speech Exercises, Puppetry, Rhythmic work, Vocabulary Building, Good Posture, Reading Technique, Storytelling, listening to and speaking poetry, Action Poems, Choral Verse, Public Speaking, Mime, Improvisation, Solo Drama, Duo Dramatic Pieces and Group Plays.
Activities undertaken depend on students age groups.
All classes are conducted in a most comfortable, enjoyable and fun manner whilst allowing each childs individual talents to shine through. Class sizes are limited to allow for as much individual attention as possible. Examinations are conducted and certified by The Irish Board of Speech and Drama.
